I'm so excited that you've joined me for this week's Camping Series, where I'm sharing meal and snack ideas, fun & games and lots of great tips, tricks and hacks for making your next camping trip the best it can be!
Today we're talking dinner and dessert!
Dinnertime for us is the slow down and take it easy meal of the day. I don’t mind a lot of prep and fuss for dinner because we’re all gathered around the fire talking about our day and winding down for the night.
I do like easy clean up, so I tend to depend on foil packet cooking for dinner. Some of them can even be put together beforehand so all you have to do is pull them out and throw them on the grill.
Can’t get much easier than that.

Sides
Most of the foil packet meals that I make while camping have sides already included, but a few don’t. For those, I will either whip up one of these sides or serve something simple like fresh fruit, veggies, or even chips.

Dessert
Normally, I’m not a big sweets eater (though I could eat my weight in Smarties...seriously), but there’s something about camping that makes me crave sweets. It’s vacation. I can indulge right?
